Dr. Richard Parcia was awarded the 2021 CIO of the Year by the International Data Corporation (IDC). A 29-year IT and Shared Services veteran, he is currently the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Head of Business Tech and Data of Golden ABC Inc. Previously, he was the Group Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Concepcion Industrial Corporation and President/COO of its Shared Services Division. 

For five consecutive years (2020-2024), Richard is in the list of the top CIOs and Technology Leaders of ASEAN and Hong Kong according to the International Data Group (IDG). He previously served in Intel, UnitedHealth Group, and LafargeHolcim.

Dr. Parcia is an alumnus of the Said Business School, University of Oxford, and holds a PhD in Development Studies specializing in Technology Development from the University of Santo Tomas.  He formerly lectured as an associate professor of IT strategy and applied business analytics at the graduate schools of the University of Asia & the Pacific and the University of Santo Tomas.
